Telling Cordwood what he fears is going to be multiple attacks from fearsome critters, Paul and Cordwood set off to form a alliance with other warriors. John Henry, Pecos Bill, Alfred Stormalong, and Kiviuq join the team to find out what caused the attack. Are there going to be more attacks? If there will be more savage attacks, will the heroes be able to save Maine or will Maine succumb to the fearsome critters?

A short story that will expand to a bigger series, Our Fearsome Heroes and The Manifesto of New England Legends takes the location and legends of these six legendary states and puts them in a short story.
